NIC Local has further strengthened its growing presence within the education sector after securing a new commercial cleaning contract with Highgate Primary Academy in Rotherham.
The new contract represents another important education-sector win for NIC Local and follows the company successfully securing approved supplier status with the Astrea Academies Trust framework in the local area.
Highgate Primary Academy, based in Goldthorpe, Rotherham, forms part of Astrea Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust operating primary and secondary schools across South Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire.
The contract will be managed locally by NIC Local Regional Director Akber Khan, supported by the wider resources, systems and expertise of the national NIC Local network.
Akber said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Highgate Primary Academy as a new NIC Local client. Education is an important sector for us and one where the quality and consistency of the cleaning service can make a real difference to pupils, staff and the wider school community.
“We’re looking forward to building a strong relationship with the team at Highgate and demonstrating the high standards, responsiveness and personal service that we aim to bring to every NIC Local contract.”
The win also demonstrates the value of NIC Local’s ongoing work to secure approved supplier and framework status with larger organisations and multi-site groups, helping create new business opportunities for its locally managed operations.
Chris Black, Managing Director of NIC Local, commented:
“Securing approved supplier status is an important part of our wider business development strategy. There is a considerable amount of work that takes place behind the scenes to demonstrate our credentials, compliance, experience and ability to consistently deliver the standards organisations such as academy trusts require.
“Once those relationships and routes to market are established centrally, our Regional Directors are ideally placed to convert them into strong local partnerships. Highgate Primary Academy is a great example of that model working in practice, combining the strength and resources of NIC Local nationally with dedicated management and service delivery at a local level.”
Education continues to be a key sector for NIC Local, with its teams experienced in delivering cleaning services across nurseries, primary and secondary schools, academies, colleges and other educational environments.
Working within education requires particular attention to safeguarding, security, hygiene and flexibility around the academic calendar. NIC Local provides tailored cleaning programmes designed around the individual requirements of each establishment, including daily term-time cleaning and planned periodic and deep-cleaning services during school holidays.
The addition of Highgate Primary Academy further strengthens NIC Local’s education portfolio and provides another platform for growth through its relationship with Astrea Academies Trust.
Chris added:
“Our objective isn’t simply to win individual contracts. We want to build long-term relationships and create opportunities that can grow across multiple locations. Achieving approved supplier status opens doors for our Regional Directors while giving clients access to a provider that combines local accountability with national infrastructure and experience.”
The new Highgate Primary Academy contract reinforces NIC Local’s continued growth within the education sector and its commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services, delivered locally and backed nationally.
